Luke Rounds

Economic Research & Analyst Intern

As an Economics Research and Analysis Intern at Rounds Consulting Group, Luke has aided the team in database management, research, and analytical thinking beyond the numbers. He has contributed to the firm’s ever-growing database and helps to ensure all statistical data is accurate and up to date.

Luke also contributes to team projects directly through targeted research and helping with working through difficult issues. He has worked on projects involving housing affordability, tourism, infrastructure, criminal justice recidivism, health care, education, and more.

Luke also has experience interning with Pivotal Policy Consulting, a lobbying firm that works closely with many of Arizona’s top policy decisionmakers. He was able to see the inner workings of Arizona’s political landscape firsthand and learn the skills necessary to navigate the complex system.

Luke was born and raised in Arizona and has earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University, where he graduated a year early as a member of the Barrett Honors College. He wrote his honors thesis on the effect of federal interest rates on housing affordability, and is very familiar with housing issues, both at the local and national level.

Luke is currently a graduate student at Arizona State University, pursuing a master’s degree in economics from the WP Carey School of Business. In his free time, Luke enjoys mountain biking, playing chess, watching movies, and reading.
